Arthon, a sci-fi short created by filmmaker Nawal Kaffouf, follows an extraterrestrial in the form of a human child sent to Earth on a mission to save the planet from destruction by human exploitation. However after encountering ruthless businessman James Lewis, who wants to exploit Arthon’s extraordinary powers for his own gain, Arthon begins to reconsider the means by which his mission will be accomplished.
A thought-provoking sci-fi short exploring humanity’s greed, environmental destruction and whether our species deserves to survive. The film’s use of CGI is impressive as are the Hollywood-style opening credits (jump ahead to 2 minutes 40 seconds in if you’re in a rush!)
