Woodnuts is a 2025 science-fiction cosmic horror short film by Gossip Goblin (Zack London), and the creator’s first full-length short film. Set in the alien forests of Jatar, it follows a labourer harvesting psychoactive sap who becomes immersed in the trees’ memories, uncovering the planet’s terraforming and humanity’s eventual destruction by its own engineered ecosystem.
Part of the Thirteen Cycles of Humanity series, the film combines AI-generated visuals with human-written scripts and voice acting to explore ecological collapse and humanity’s hubris. Its hypnotic imagery and richly imagined world distinguish it from much AI-generated content, placing narrative depth and artistic vision ahead of technological novelty.
